About Fines

Fines, with 2,404 inhabitants (INE, 2025), lies in the centre of the Almanzora Valley; the river runs through the municipality, one of the few in the area with more residents than in 2011. Besides the main village, it includes La Cuesta del Pino, El Olivar, Llano de la Herra, El Palomar, Las Entrenas and La Cañada de las Cruces.

At the entrance to the town, at the Rosa Galera viewpoint, stands «Libertad» (2014), a tribute to women victims of gender violence designed by Andrés García Ibáñez and carved by Roberto Manzano, considered the largest sculpture in the world made from a single block of marble. The church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, from 1631, keeps a Mudéjar coffered ceiling with geometric patterns.

Its patron saint is the Virgen del Rosario, to whom the parish church is dedicated.
